Gorgeous, vintage / antique handmade SCRIMSHAW design on I'm not sure what - feels like some kind of horn or tooth shaped stone, as it's pretty heavy. Signed J.A., with the etched words, "LIBERTY" next to woman holding waving flag, and "THE WHALER EAGLE" above elaborately detailed SHIP and WHALE. Measures  approx 6" tall x 2" diameter near opening. Unusual gift for scrimshaw / nautical style art fan/collector!
